La Bella Creations is an independent Australian jewellery company run by a mum that provides women with the opportunity to wear affordable, pretty and practical jewellery; especially around young children. 
The La Bella range includes strong and elegant necklaces, bangles and rings that suit the lifestyle of mothers, and busy women who welcome unique, lasting, fashion jewellery.
About the Creator
La Bella was created by owner and director Kylie Watson who was seeking quality fashion jewellery that was durable to wear around her young children.
Kylie likes fashion but didn't have much time to scour the shops looking for suitable pieces that were lead free, nickel free, and tug-proof. The few pieces she did find were very expensive and it wasn't clear just how tough they were.
After speaking with other busy mums at kids' parties, playgroup and gymbaroo Kylie realised that there was a need for jewellery that was fashionable, but also reliable, well labelled and strong; so she created Tiny Tot Tug Proof® jewellery specifically for women who spend their time around little ones. She then added teething and limited amber jewellery lines after her customers requested them. La Bella is a combination of the names of Kylie's two daughters, Lakeisha (5 years old) and Keirabella (3 years old). With the addition of Kylie's newborn son, Mack, La Bella's name may have to expand!!
Testing
La Bella has a collection of mums, grandmas, aunties and sisters that all test new designs before they go on the market. Testing involves wearing the jewellery around children, seeing how tough the jewellery is when children touch it (under supervision), doing every day tasks and providing feedback on what improvements might need to be made on the designs. La Bella's necklaces are either in a pendant or beaded style, which are made from either resin, acrylic or semi precious gemstones and are strung onto a strong comfortable silk, cotton or ribbon cord with knots in between each bead to ensure security. Tiny Tot Tug Proof®
Tiny Tot Tug Proof® creations are specifically designed and sourced for those who send a lot of time around babies and toddlers. A key feature of some of the necklaces is a break-away or 'pop' clasp Range which is strong enough to withstand the strength of a child pulling at the necklace, but can be removed when an adult opens the clasp. Other necklaces in this range feature small simple knots instead of a clasp or strong silk ribbon, which can be adjusted to the wearer's suited length.
The Teething Range includes silicone teething necklaces and bangles from US company Smart Mum, which are designed for babies to chew and suck on.

The Amber Collection
The Amber Collection is not considered Tug Proof®, however, it's still very strong and we only have limited stock. It is designed for medicical purposes (teething for bubs and pain relief from mastitis, headaches etc for mums) and they are hand-made in Lithuania. When wearing The Amber Collection, please ensure that you are conscious of how you treat the jewellery and that choking hazards still aply when around children. This range includes a small explanation card for the purchaser about the benefits of natural amber.
